Lian Verkerk (1999, Willemstad, Curacao) is a writer, artist and motivational speaker. Her message and goal in life is to love and be loved. With this message she wants to help others, give people hope, positivity and support. Further she aspires to inspire, change others in the best they can be and unite everyone, because we’re all the same. She is known for motivating, inspiring and uplifting others so that they feel valued and loved.

I started writing when I was about 12 years old. I always loved to talk, sing, rap and express myself through words and emotions. I wanted to be connected to others and vice versa.
But when I was 17 years old I decided to write myself a letter on my new chrome laptop that my father gave me. That letter eventually turned into my first book (Geschreven vanuit het hart)- written from the heart.
This was the beginning of my writing journey.
I wrote and published The golden words in 2 weeks and 5 days. November 20th, 2020 I was sitting at home and feeling the need to write a poem. I started writing different poems that eventually became a part of this book.
December 9th I published my third book, The golden words.
